I managed the Drexel University App Lab, which is dedicated to helping foster the app development skills of the Drexel community. This work included overseeing several co-op students in the development of educational resources for Drexel University students. I also developed several iOS applications, including an iOS/Apple Watch application to collect biometric data used to provide feedback on public speaking/presentations to users.

My research focuses on the prediction of musical influence between musicians. Similar to websites such as Pandora.com and Last.fm, where users can find new music suggestions based on their preferences, this research will help to further the science behind and accuracy of those suggestions. The GK-12 Fellowship encourages K-12 students to become interested in the STEM fields by embedding graduate students directly in the classroom. As one of these graduate students, I am responsible for developing projects and lessons that incorporate their area of research area along with the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges. I have also learned a great deal through striving to integrate the Philadelphia Public School District’s curriculum in an engaging manner with a heavy emphasis on project-based learning. Show less
