I began this job as a temporary assignment, but at the end of the 2 week contract I was offered the opportunity to come on permanently. Early on in my position as a shipping clerk, I saw many opportunities to use my computer and organization skills to improve processes within the office. These changes improved productivity and accuracy and are still used today. After a few years in my starting position, I got the opportunity to move to a daytime inventory control position. At the time that I took this job, the position had not been filled for several years. I stepped in and developed systems and processes. These systems and processes are now the standard for this position. Shortly after moving into inventory control, a need arose within the company due to a retirement and subsequent promotion, and so I moved again into my current position. Along my journey I have made sure to be trained in any task or job that I can, and have become one of only 2 in my company, the other being my supervisor, who can perform all jobs in our office. Due to this, along with my adaptability and ease in learning, I am now utilized in many roles. I started at the Commonwealth Attorneys offices as an intern through the Criminal Justice program at Murray State University. I was hired to do the basic tasks of a Legal Secretary and learn the ins and outs of the prosecutor's office.
