While working there, I had the opportunity to participate in various infrastructure renovation projects.I spent a significant amount of time working with Ocean Contractors Limited. On Cowbay Road, I helped repave the street and redo the sidewalk. We mostly patched damaged pavement in Halifax and Dartmouth. I seldom worked with G&R Kelly Enterprises Ltd. - helping to replace existing lead water service lines with copper ones - and with Halifax Regional Water Comission - assisting with the repair of broken water mains.At Frontline Traffic Services, my responsibilities as a flagger included:- Work with the signer to schedule breaks and to develop a work plan for the day.- Liaise with my coworkers to ensure safety of site workers, pedestrians and drivers in and around the work site.- Appropriately and efficiently sign all streets leading to the work site.- Set up and break down temporary workplaces.- Assist in training new flaggers.- Collaborate with foreman on site to further improve overall site safety.- Inform the public of the nature of the work beings being done as required.
