    Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area
On April 20th 2017, I co-founded an interactive media development firm that provides contract development services to organizations including simulations, architectural visualization, VR, AR, and MR. I have done a myriad of client assignments in Unity 3D, and worked on many internal projects in Unreal Engine. A sample of what I have done:-Implemented core features of a client’s drag-and-drop 2D puzzle-based music app targeted for Android and iOS including: a data saving and loading system with proprietary data structures; data upload and download to Google’s cloud platform; UI elements, menus, and their interactions; asset import, cleanup, and management. Restructured the application’s monolithic, and non-modular C# codebase. (Unity3D)-Developed early application prototypes for the Magic Leap One platform using both Unity 3D and Unreal Engine (C# and C++)-Implemented several core gameplay elements for a client’s multiplayer team building game in Unity 3D utilizing the Photon Unity Networking (PUN2) plugin and API. (Unity 3D)-Implemented an arm-swing locomotion system in VR for a client. The project was built for Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest. Used FinalIK to configure the client’s custom mesh for a natural looking result. (Unity3D)-Created UI designs for XRKey heads-up display (HUD) and performed user experience (UX) testing WIP prototypes.-Developed environment and technical art scripts for reusing and dynamically recoloring assets and created 2D environment and menu art for TZH: Arcade, including hand painted original background and main-menu and art.-Implemented character animations and scripts for a VR sword-fighting game prototype for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. (Unreal Engine)-Implemented AI behavior, audio and visual cues, object pickups, and navigation systems for a virtual reality (VR) demo running on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, including C++ development of custom
  • Gls Archives
    Lead Developer And It
    Gls Archives Jan 2016 - Jun 2017
    Greater Atlanta Area
At GLS archives I was responsible for maintaining existing company systems and software, as well as developing software for the company. I developed and installed software updates, tested existing software, and deployed new versions and managed ticketing for internal software issues. I was additionally responsible for the ongoing setup maintenance, and administration of the company's Windows, Linux, and Synology Servers, databases, and versioning, testing and build systems. At GLS, I took complete ownership over the development of a proprietary client management system (CMS) built with Java and powered by MySQL. This project utilized the Java Swing framework for GUI and the EclipseLink framework for database persistence, and contained the following subsystems: timesheet management, project management, client management, site management, accounts payable/receivable, client contact, automated billing and invoicing, and reporting (for business analytics).-Overhauled the user interface framework from Swing Application Framework to Java Swing to reduce dependence on external tools and streamline GLS Archives’ development environment. -Replaced the outdated, costly, and tightly-coupled SAP Crystal Reports networked reporting engine with a free Jaspersoft offering. This served to save the company time (due to system downtime caused by tight-coupling; more efficient future software development; and improved program efficiency) and money (from SAP fees and labor costs due to downtime).-Set up and configured a full-stack build integration system for Java using a virtual Ubuntu Server (Linux), Atlassian Bitbucket, Apache Maven, Apache Archiva, and Jenkins.-Developed a web based archive system based on a traditional LAMP tech stack with an HTML5, CSS and Javascript frontend. -Set up and configured AWS EC2 Instances, Elastic Block Storage (EBS), and identity access management (IAM).

Video Game And Level Designer, Developer, And Hobbyist
    No Company (Independent) 2005 - May 2017
I have been working on Video Games and Mods since I was in middle school. I first worked with Unreal Engine circa. 2005 when I created levels for Unreal Tournament 2K4, and also started dabbling in UnrealScript. Since that time I have used a several versions of the engine, including most recent versions of Unreal Engine 4. When I was in college (circa. 2011-2015), I started small mod projects to check out other game development engines. In this process, I acquired familiarity with several 3D engines including: Bethesda's Creation Kit, Larian's Divinity Engine, Cryengine's Level Editor, UDK/UE3 Ed. I have developed fundamental skills within Autodesk Maya, and a proficiency in ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer. With regards to art, I prefer to work with game levels and environments. Due to my other aspects of my background, my programming interests lie in the realm of artificial intelligence. In November 2015 I released a simple Fallout 4 Mod called Clean Soup. (See Link Below)In May 2016 I released a fully voiced quest modification for The Elder Scrolls IV: SkyrimOn March 1st, 2019 Legendary Gameworks released it's first game, titled TZH: Arcade to which I heavily contributed.
