I am currently an intern at the San Diego Low Speed Wind Tunnel. I support wind tunnel tests through model construction, wind tunnel operation, and basic customer support

I started and lead a new pre-professional student organization called the Vertical Flight Society @ UC San Diego. We are a student chapter associated with VFS SoCal focused on fostering a community for the engagement, exposure, and innovation of vertical flight technology. We strive to support student career development through development workshops, speaker events for networking, and tours of facilities interested in vertical flight technology. I manage a team of 8 board members and handle everything from marketing to finances to graphic design to event planning. Our organization currently has over 30 members in under 3 months.

I am currently part of the mechanical team of the NASA NPWEE 2023 winning team called Project Skyfall. I work on the 3D model design and manufacturing of critical mechanical systems of the project that will then be integrated with the rest of the project.

I am leading the Detachable Bronchoscope Project. My role is to improve the gear and detachment mechanism design of the device for more efficient use in real life situations. I utilize Solidworks for 3D modeling purposes and rapid prototyping using the Formlabs 3D Resin printer and have successfully created a working mechanical prototype My future plans are to add all required tools to the bronchoscope in order for physicians to perform their work properly including a camera and a light source at the distal end of the device. In addition, I want to add electronics to power the device and meet industry standards

I was at NASA Langley under the Aeronautics Systems Analysis Branch (ASAB) as an Aeronautics intern under the RVLT Project. My project for the summer was tool validation on low fidelity CFD software tools such as FlightStream and VSPAERO in order to build trust and best practices when utilizing both tools. The idea was to see if these tools, which are easier to learn and quicker to output data, can give representative data that is comparable to wind tunnel tests and higher fidelity software tools such as ANSYS and OVERFLOW. I learned in great detail how both software tools operate and how to manipulate them to better represent aerodynamic performance simulations at the level of wind tunnels. I also created data processing programs through MATLAB and scripts that automate simulation runs and data processing techniques.

I tutored and graded numerous courses at UC San Diego, including courses like MAE 2, 11, 105, and 131A. These courses range from introductory aerospace concepts, to computational fluid analysis.

I was the Project Manager of the student project organization Triton Unmanned Aerial Systems at UC San Diego. My role included the general understanding of all systems and the current progress of the airframe, embedded, software and business subteams. I also create the main schedule for the year through the goals of each of the subteams, adjust the schedules, reorganize members into teams that need more help, and guide all ongoing projects in order to achieve our goal of creating a working autonomous aircraft by the competition every June. I was also in charge of the business team of TritonUAS, and I helped to lead that team to maintain our finances by contacting sponsors and organizing fundraisers, boost team morale through socials and merchandise, and increase the team's notability through social media.

I managed all financial assets of the student project organization TritonUAS on my own. I created the team's $8,000 budget for the school year, handled all reimbursement processes for purchases, and secured thousands of dollars of increased organization revenue through increased relationships with industry sponsors, academia sponsorships through application, alumni donations, and fundraisers with local businesses, all contributing to the successful financial future of the organization. All of this was organized and written on my own and has allowed the organization to continue to innovate and purchase new high quality tools and materials for our members to utilize.

I was an airframe lead of the student project organization Triton Unmanned Aerial Systems. My role includes the supervision and creation of the overall design, analysis, and manufacturing of the body of the aircraft which includes everything from the skin, to the internal structure, to the payload. I also organize all members in the airframe team into smaller subteams within the design and manufacturing process and create the schedule for the team to achieve our weekly, monthly and quarterly goals. I have experience in 3D modeling using Solidworks and Onshape, analysis tools like MATLAB and ANSYS, and manufacturing processes including wet composite layups, laser cutting, CNC hot wire cutting, 3D printing, and more. I have been part of the design and manufacturing of 4 aircrafts from 2021-2024, with one currently placing 5th out of 71 teams in the 2022 SUAS international competition.

Before I became the airframe lead and project manager, I was an airframe member during the COVID year. My main contributions was the design of the main fuselage for the aircraft through Solidworks, and the concurrent learning and understanding of the simulation software ANSYS. In addition, I ran analysis on multiple iterations of fuselage designs through ANSYS in order to optimize the design based on performance values intended.

My role included the location, communication, and cooperation with numerous individuals from the industry and academia in order to present interesting topics of interests, research, or career advice to members and other students in AIAA@UCSD. I hosted at least 2-3 of these events per quarter in hopes to expose all that come to new topics in the aerospace and engineering world. I have worked with organizations such as the US Navy, Meld Manufacturing, and researchers from UCSD and SDSU. I also contributed to the increasing of club merchandising through stickers that increased club membership and notoriety and received the major contributions to the AIAA@UCSD section award in 2022.

The NASA L'Space Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience is a student-development academy designed to teach students the inner workings of proposal writing and how to evaluate proposals that could be eligible of NASA funding. My role was to research and identify key issues in current propulsion systems that NASA is interested in solving and create new ideas to solve them.

My role included the use of Solidworks to design and perform maintenance on tools required to build Glenair products, specifically on electrical connectors and fiber cables. I would also be in charge of creating and editing drawings through Solidworks and Cadkey for future uses that will be sent to the machine shop for metal working. I also completed other daily tasks that ranged from communicating with quality, sales design, and other manufacturing engineers, inventory, and understanding specifications, documentation, and report writing.

The NASA L'Space Mission Concept Academy is a course designed to teach students the basics of space mission design and development. Our mission was to design a rover that can analyze the permanently shadow region of the moon. At the end of the academy, we had to have had completed a Preliminary Design Review and a presentation to explain our mission, its execution, and the engineering behind our rover. My role as lead engineer was to take mission and scientific requirements and lead a team of other engineers to design and 3D model through NX Siemens a rover that can transverse on the moon. As a Research Scientist, my role was to research and understand the lunar environment that our rover was driving on and also understand the static electrical properties of the lunar regolith and how it could affect our rover

As an Administrative Assistant, I sold lessons to potential customers and books to existing customers, welcomed new students, created the schedules for teachers, and completed other tasks that helped to make the workplace as smooth as possible.

Taught music theory and technique, and guided students in sight reading; successful pass rates into higher level books after Certificate of Merit exams and high approval ratings.
