NASA-funded Skyfall Space is developing a groundbreaking solution to the orbital debris crisis. Skyfall Space technology — which focuses primarily on Active Debris Removal (ADR) — is less expensive, more durable, and higher efficiency than existing orbital debris solutions. At Skyfall Space, we have a passion for sustainability and a determination to ensure safe space exploration for generations to come.
Skyfall Space began when an interdisciplinary team of diverse undergraduate and graduate students won the Summer 2023 NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE). This win provided the team with NASA funding and invaluable partnerships with subject matter experts around the world. Using these resources, the team has expanded and continued development of this novel technology with plans for prototype completion and testing by the end of 2024.
