About Ben Pumphrey

I am a third-year bachelors student at the University of Georgia studying Mechanical Engineering with a passion for space. I work on and lead multiple aerospace projects, including leading the mechanical design for a NASA grant-winning satellite mission aimed at solving the orbital debris crisis in Low Earth Orbit. I also serve as the program manager of the UGA Small Satellite Research Lab, where I've led almost 50 other students to finalize the development of a million-dollar NASA-grade nanosatellite. I have experience with structural and thermal engineering in hypersonic and space environments, highlighted through my work at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
