MovieWeb became part of WATCHR Media in early 2013.

Foundry is an advertising sales and services firm providing sales, sales support, ad operations, tracking, marketing strategy and execution across the digital media (online and mobile) spectrum. With capability in standard media and particular strength in integrated and immersive executions, Foundry works with its clients to improve user experience and interaction with sponsor brands.

Co-founded and grew to nearly $20MM annual revenue, this multi-brand packaged media e-commerce company. Selling from 3 owned and operated brands and operating white-labeled online store operations for other brands, we built a consumer-direct-fulfillment (CDF) online retailer of books, music and video products that also operated 4 of the top 5 media retail brands on eBay, Amazon and Buy.com marketplaces. Exited 2009.

Founded and led the funding and development of Millennium Internet’s online entertainment commerce system, linking online movie site(s) with local video retailers. Partners included the #1 point-of-sale (POS) software provider to the industry and the #3 U.S. video retail chain. Investors included PSINet, Wilson Sonsini, Video Update and individual investors. Raised $40MM from Bank of America (including syndicate) for acquisition of a top U.S. video products distributor in a debt and equity deal.

Led solutions sales & delivery efforts for expanding enterprise technology company. Managed key client relationships in entertainment, manufacturing, insurance and financial services industries. Worked with cross-functional team spanning product sales, services sales and professional services delivery to identify, structure, sell and deliver multi-million dollar technology solutions.SAGA Systems was an enterprise solutions company providing enterprise software and professional services including NATURAL (a 4GL programming language), ADABAS (a high-performance DBMS), the ENTIRE family of products (middleware products including EntireX DCOM, iXpress and Sourcepoint). SAGA Systems was spun-out of Software AG in a management buyout funded by Thayer Capital Partners in 1997. Software AG re-acquired the company in 2001.

Co-founded and led this early interactive & web-TV technology pioneer. Led company through multiple funding rounds ($7MM+) & technology iterations for its ConnecTV & NetVision systems & co-authored several patents while closing the first $5MM in sales. In building this interactive television (iTV) pioneer, we designed and manufactured the first Intel based set-top devices, which were operated by the QNX Neutrino real-time embedded OS with UX built from the Spyglass browser. As the Internet was just starting to take-off, we put the ‘net on your TV, with both dial-up and broadcast/cable connectivity, with a return-path integrating our proprietary 218MHz-219MHz IVDS (interactive voice and data services) wireless technology. Among our patents applied for: wireless radios, credit card scanning remote control with ‘AirMouse’ technology, the first of its kind non-linear e-commerce ready remote device. We designed, built and operated all applications for content and commerce. Our data center in Columbia, MD provided interactive applications to trials in Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Columbia and Baltimore, MD, among others. Partners included top set-top manufacturers, cable companies, major broadcast networks, programmers and early Internet leaders in search, commerce and content.

Managed the 13-state Mid-Atlantic and New England region for this division of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. In Japan, with primary responsibility for commercializing both its own portfolio of novel chemistries and those developed by the parent, ISK. Primary products focus on agricultural and specialty (including turf) markets and include: fungicides fluazinam and cyazofamid, a nematicide, fosthiazate, the herbicides flazasulfuron, nicosulfuron and the insecticide flonicamid. Company’s original portfolio included the previously proprietary chlorathalonil fungicide.

Handled new market introductions and key distribution deals for this division of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. In Japan, with primary responsibility for commercializing its proprietary fungicide (chlorothalonil) in the agricultural market (Bravo) and the turf market (Daconil) in the US, Canada and Latin America. Other products included Dacthal herbicide.
