Brandon is a full stack software leader with a career that spans across disciplines and technology stacks. In an operations role with PSP Investments he delivered a distributed application monitoring system using SCOM and built an enterprise file transfer tool in .Net and C#. He built close connections with developers and service delivery and would act without hesitation to keep incident resolution times below service level objectives. A DevOps & Agile champion he played a key role in transforming the operations service life-cycle so that tooling would get to market quicker - reducing delivery timelines to three weeks.With the Royal Bank of Canada he transitioned into a senior analyst position first as a founding member of the Administrative and Audit operations team and then as the lead developer for Corporate Real Estate technologies. He developed the prototype technologies that served as a live business case for RBC's first workplace application. The node.js prototype connected internet of thing devices with calendars to strategically move people through key spaces like desks and rooms demonstrating how technology could help increase person density in the space while improving employee wellness - a strategic objective for the team.Brandon then joined LoyaltyOne where he first worked on the Airmiles mobile application before joining the web team to provide architectural and software engineering guidance in delivering the new Airmiles website. He is currently the lead backend engineer on a team of 5 building the backend for frontend API in Java using Sling. He's the SME on authentication, the microservice layer, overall code architecture and system design.He no longer has a stack as he'll use the most suitable technology for any given business objective and considers the overall strategic goals of the enterprise when designing solutions.
