The Digital Prototyping Center of Excellence's primary purpose is to closely collaborate with the product and system design teams across Eaton's Aerospace Group to provide digital prototyping services to properly evaluate this risk to ensure designs are right the first time.....every time.The DNA makeup of any Center of Excellence (COE) is comprised of People, Technology and Methodology, the DPCOE leverages each of these elements to create a best-in-class engineering analysis team that consistently meets or exceeds its customers' wants and needs through world-class engineering talent; leading edge tools and technology as well as standard processes and procedures.The mission of the Digital Prototyping Center of Excellence (MS&NVH COE) is to establish and maintain a diverse yet cohesive global engineering analysis team focused on the multidisciplinary virtual simulation, performance prediction and system monitoring/measurement of Aerospace products and systems to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.

Led a team of 36 employees supporting both new product development opportunities as well as sustaining engineering activities including production floor support as well as customer-related issues/returns with fielded product. The Jackson Plant accounts for 40% of total Aerospace sales.• Team consisted of 25 Product Engineers, four (4) Drafters/Designers, two (2) Technical Writers, CAD Manager and Administrative Assistant.• Responsible for the Jackson Plant Research & Development budget including profit planning.• Responsible for the plant’s Technology Roadmap as well as ensures that roadmap is properly aligned to the Key Strategic Initiatives of Conveyance Systems Division.• Responsible for the providing sustaining engineering support for Aerospace product from the Jackson, MI manufacturing facility.• Successfully led the merger of the two Jackson Product Engineering teams into one cohesive unit.• Leadership responsibility for the implementation of the Jackson Global Engineering team comprised of the Engineering team in Jackson as well as the Eaton India Engineering Center in Pune, India (14 total Engineers and Designers).• Ensured that Product Engineering team adheres to Eaton’s New Product Development phased gate process.• Responsible for annually developing technology roadmap and aligning training plans/organizational assessment to accomplish roadmap.• Responsible for defining Engineering resource needs in line with technology roadmap and division strategic plan. Resourcing includes full-time employees as well as Co-op/Interns from universities across the United States.

• Led a team of nine (9) employees supporting both new product development opportunities as well as sustaining engineering activities including production floor support as well as customer-related issues/returns with fielded product.• Team consisted of four (4) Product Engineers, four (4) Drafters/Designers and one (1) Technical Writer for the facility.• Served as manager for Drafting Team Leader and second-level manager for three (3) Designers/Drafters (The Drafting team and Technical Writer were shared resources across Fuel as well as Coupling/Swivel Product Engineering teams.)• Responsible for profit planning activities for the Fuel Products teams coordinating with Program Management to ensure alignment to satisfy strategic and business demands.• Responsible for the Technology Roadmap for the business’ fuel product lines (including frangible coupling, military fuel ducts and hydraulic check valves)• Responsible for assigning employee goals and development plans annually as part of Eaton’s performance review system.• Responsible for mentoring and coordinating the training plans for all direct reports in line with team member's goals and development plans annually.• Responsible for identifying, managing and reporting annual cost reduction activity for Fuel Product Engineering team.

• Responsible for providing engineering analysis support for the design and development of new products for various Fluid Conveyance divisions.• Analysis background includes structural finite element analysis (linear, nonlinear, thermal and modal/vibration), dynamic simulation of mechanisms as well as computational fluid dynamics analyses of aerospace and military products.• Champion for the utilization of engineering analysis tools by product engineers within the division• Responsible for facilitating broader use of analysis tools and techniques in support of the strategic initiatives of first run yield in qualification testing and reduced cycle time in the product development process.• Duties include serving as customer interface for analysis issues within Fluid Conveyance.• Proficient with CATIA V5 (end user and administrator experience), CATIA V5 Generative Part/Assembly Structural, MSC.Software SimDesigner, CFDesign and SMARTEAM (end user and administrator capacities).• Project Manager for the deployment of CATIA V5 and SMARTEAM Product Data Management (PDM) tools across Fluid Conveyance North America (Jackson, MI sites and Toccoa, GA facility) - a strategic initiative within Fluid Conveyance.• Responsible for leading a cross-functional team including Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Drafting and Product Management.• Duties included process mapping/improvement of engineering processes for the creation, revision and release of engineering documentation electronically, budget and schedule management in addition to the coordination of all associated training across the division.• PDM champion across Fluid Conveyance.

• Lead a team of engineering analysts within the Submarine Machinery Department.• Responsible for resource planning and project management of analysis team.• Responsible for tracking projects and requirements to meet customer needs and requirements.• Responsible for the development and mentoring of entry-level analysts to the organization.• Concentration in the design and manufacture of submarine machinery components.• Engineering lead for the design and development of the Underwater Explosion certified watertight hatches for the Virginia Class (formerly Seawolf Class) submarines.• Engineering responsibilities for the torpedo tube breech door for the Seawolf-Class submarine’s Weapons Launching System.• Responsibilities included system engineering as well as project management for the design and troubleshooting of shipboard equipment.• Position provided opportunity to make deck-plate decisions for naval submarines either under construction or commissioned for service as well as aboard Underwater Explosion (UNDEX) test vehicle.• Focus in solid modeling and finite element analysis including stress analysis - static and dynamic, linear and nonlinear; detailed fatigue evaluation and thermal analysis.• Responsible for coordination of computer-aided analysis within department.• Also responsible for advanced analysis training of finite element users company-wide. Proficient with SDRC I-deas, UNIX, HKS/ABAQUS, MSC/NASTRAN and Microsoft Windows NT.
