I was responsible for deploying wireless bridges, switches with VLAN configurations, and routers. Responsible for the deployment of hardware for emergency replacements, wireless point-to-point solution for both internal functions as well as customer connectivity, and maintaining documentation of the network.In addition, I shared a 24×7 on-call rotation to be available for emergency repairs on the network. During such events, I was prompt and efficient in my responses.I managed a Linux mail server based off of Qmail that used Spamdyke and SpamAssassin for filtering out unwanted mail and a couple Linux web servers. Handled the creation and editing of DNS records of Utah Broadband's domains, customer's domains, and reverse entries of Utah Broadband's public IP addresses on a Linux box using TinyDNS. Managed an Asterisk VOIP server for Utah Broadband's office location.Utilized a MySQL back-end to manage customers and develop proprietary tools to manage network segments, run backup scripts to backup routers at those segments, manage IP address schemata, and to register customer premise equipment onto the network.Was often asked to configure hardware with little or no training and did so with promptness and efficiency. In these scenarios I helped to teach my coworkers the information they needed to know to effectively perform their job as well as to equip them with the information necessary to continue smooth operations in the event of my absence.Tasked with design and configuration of enterprise level network involving drastically increasing available bandwidth and developing redundancy via OSPF and BGP.
