Lean Tempo focuses on high value takt timers to enable lean cells across many industries. I came up with the idea while working at a company that needed takt timers in a couple cells, but the only options available were either super expensive, or lacked the necessary features. Lean Tempo was born out of that need and serviced companies across the country of various sizes.

Sherman/Denison, Texas Area

► Spearheaded the creation of a pull system in APC’s most profitable factory (annual revenue $400 million). Since implementation, the project has:- Enabled a $20 Million return to APC customers.- Increased annual production by 65% (over 63,000 units) without additional capital expenditures.- Reduced scheduling time by more than 75% by simplifying the scheduling process – 95% of all production is now scheduled and level loaded at one operation, previously all operations were scheduled independently.- Improved lead-time by 20% and increased on-time delivery to100%.Additional benefits of the pull system:- Supervisors and support staff are now able to spend their time more productively, solving problems and improving the system instead of continually fighting fires.- Value Stream Mapping was used to identify and communicate the current and future states.- Mentored supervisors with A3s to help them understand lean while implementing and improving the system.- An SAS Excellence in Operations award was received for the project. ► Initiated the creation of a defect feedback tool, using existing technology, that helped improve yield significantly in the “Epoxy Pick and Place” process; overall project benefits include:- Reduced annual rework labor for multiple Epoxy Pick and Place processes by $1.5 million.- Reduced escaping defects by 83% for the processes.► Created the APC lean training program- Regularly teach lean principles, systems, and tools to organization employees from various levels and business functions.- Developed a number of interactive simulation-based workshops to teach fundamental lean principles to leaders and operators throughout APC.- Train frontline supervisors how to effectively use one of the simulation exercises to train their team members. - Mentor both supervisors and production employees daily on how to apply lean concepts in their areas.

Lean Leaders is a club at Utah State University that specializes in teaching the Toyota Production System to students. ►Founder of the club►Created Lean Leaders lean training program- Developed modules to train students in lean principles- Arranged for experienced lean practitioners to speak to the club in person or via the internet
