West Linn High School

• Currently teaching AP Computer Science A (dual credit with CCC), AP Computer Science Principles, and two Python courses - Computer Programming 1 (dual credit with CCC) and Computer Programming 2.• Revived Python based Computer Programming 1 and 2 at West Linn High School and also secured dual credit through CCC for Computer Programming 1• Advisor to WLHS Computer Science Competition Club starting in 2022• Previously have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB• Created and supervised Algebra 2 and Precalculus courses at the middle school level for independent study students• Led development of district wide mid-level math curriculum for distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic• Developed collaborative scope and sequence materials for math classes and transferred them to Google Drive for better collaboration.• Participated as group leader in district-wide workshop series on inclusive practices • Trained and supported teachers in implementing MathXL in their curriculum with the goal of providing practice and learning opportunities for all learners• Coached the Math Competition Club while at Athey Creek Middle School leading to students competing at the local, state, and national levels in Math Counts and the AMC.

Math Department

I taught MTH 112 at Portland State for the Fall term. This is a course that covers pre-calculus topics, with an emphasis on trigonometry.

I supported students and staff with a wide variety of technical needs such as Microsoft Office issues, network connectivity issues, and virus removal. During 2009 and 2010, I assisted with the planning, development, and implementation of a support desk in the library that emphasized user education as a part of tech support process. We made the troubleshooting process transparent for the user and strived to teach proactive, preventative measure they could take, if applicable.

I worked on practicum tasks at three different locations: Athey Creek Middle School, Willamette Primary School, and the West Linn.

Mathematics Education

Completed 49 credit hours in the math department with courses focused on teaching secondary and post-secondary topics in math.

M.A., Teaching

I received my Master of Arts in Teaching while completing students teaching placements in both middle school and high school positions..

B.S., Mathematics

My degree is in mathematics with a concentration in secondary education. During my last year, I took 600 level courses in secondary math.
