Manage and oversee all ticket sales and operations for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Instrumental in moving the in-house ticketing platform to a customer-facing online ticket and parking purchase program generating millions in revenue each year. From 2016-2019, Brandy was embedded at racetracks in a unique Breeders’ Cup/Host track arrangement to facilitate on-site operations and communications in southern California.Before joining the Breeders’ Cup team, Brandy, a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering, began her career as Director of Sales & Operations for Dapple Bloodstock/Season Exchange. Then as General Manager, overseeing sales and operations at Oakhurst Thoroughbreds, a full-service equine breeding and veterinary facility and Oregon’s leading stallion station, and managed the operations and execution of the annual OTOBA (Oregon Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Assn.) horse sale every fall hosted at Oakhurst Thoroughbreds. Brandy is a member of the Thoroughbred Club of America and San Diego Women Leaders. She serves on the board of directors for the KY Derby Musuem and Downtown Lexington Partnership (DLP) group.
Sr. Director, Ticketing & Horsemen Relations
The Breeders’ Cup administers the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s year-end Championships with purses and awards totaling over $30 Million. The Breeders’ Cup also administers the Breeders’ Cup Challenge qualifying series, which provides automatic starting positions into the Championships races.Oversee ticket sales for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships as well as all horsemen needs leading up to and on event days. Train and manage a team of six-ten individuals that make up the internal customer service call center to assist customers with online ticket sales, event information and group sales. Job duties include, but are not limited to: assisting senior management with host track selection and contract solicitations for future Championship host sites, ticketing and hospitality budgets, work closely with host track on event needs: seat maps for online ticket sales, promotions, ticket and food/beverage pricing, catering and operations to ensure a plan is in place for all above areas to ensure a smooth and seamless event for a great experience for fans and participants.

In charge of daily operations and provided managing support for the President and Board of Directors (15 total). Liaison with Oregon Racing Commission, Oregon HBPA, Portland Meadows management, Northwest Owner & Breeders Associations (WTBA, ITA, CTBA, etc), Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders’ Association (TOBA), NTRA, etc. Administered incentive programs (owner bonus and breeder awards) for live race meets at Portland Meadows and Summer Fair Circuit. Managed, organized, marketed and solicited sponsors/advertisers for the various Oregon TOBA events (primarily the Oregon Mixed Sale, Oregon Day, Annual Awards Banquet, etc). Designed ad layouts for the Oregon Horse Magazine as well as article content and solicited advertisers. Implemented, designed and maintained the Oregon TOBA website and quarterly newsletters.
General Manager
Oakhurst Thoroughbreds is a full-service Thoroughbred breeding facility. Oregon's Leading Stallion Station standing sons of the great Mr. Prospector, Storm Cat and Seattle Slew.Played a key role in daily operations and management of Thoroughbred farm. Duties included, but were not limited to: overseeing both public and private sale of horses, stallion management, stallion bookings and marketing, management over barn crew of ten employees, client relations, accounting/budget, advertising, promotions and event planning (open houses as well as hosting the Oregon Mixed Sale annually). Managed and organized crews for preparation of the Oregon Mixed Sale, coordinated auctioneers, stall assignments, security, volunteers, sponsors, etc.
