This all-volunteer, statewide law enforcement auxiliary is a statutorily-authorized organization in the state of Colorado (SB 12-072) under the Department of Public Safety (CRS 24-33.5). This organization provides assistance to law enforcement agencies, emergency management, fire-fighting, emergency medical services, and in search-and-rescue across the state.Annually 50,000+ volunteer hours are provided to the State of Colorado supporting local police and sheriffs departments. The Rangers are the oldest statewide law enforcement agency in Colorado, originally assembled in 1861• Troop I – Serves Colorado Springs and the counties of El Paso, Pueblo, Crowley, Oterro, Kiowa, Bent, Las Animas, Huerfano, and Fremont. Assigned to 4th Platoon (Training).
