Assists the Director of Health Services to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, & direct the nursing service dept, as well as its programs & activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, & guidelines that govern the Health Campus. Assists in developing methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care. Participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as directed by the DHS or the Exec. Director.Creates the campus four 4 week Master set schedule and posts schedule in accordance with the Campus Hourly Scheduling policy. Makes staffing adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, calls-offs, and pre-planned leaves of absenceManages, supports, and coordinates employees PTO requests, holiday rotations, & shift tradesGenerates all required postings such as BIPA, daily assignment sheets, & monthly schedulesManages nursing hours & proper staff ratio to censusMonitors OT closely with the goal of decreasing/eliminating OTManages Time and Attendance, including Attendance points, buy-backs, SPU’s for cash, & SPU’s for STARSAnticipates staffing needs; recruits & takes rapid action to partner with Employee Services with the goal of minimizing open positionsMaintains & monitors Preceptor needsUtilizes Smartlinx’s functionality; including posting open shifts, filling open shifts, & employee messagingMeets each new employee to review their schedule, ensure a smooth onboarding experienceAssists with onboarding coordination & classesCompletes scanning & attaching of resident documentation in MatrixCare to ensure Medical Records are complete & accurateMaintains ordering & stocking of suppliesRounds on each shift to provide review of consistent staffing levelsReview & analyze report information, while using critical thinking skills to evaluate data for regulatory compliance
