I am a helper by nature and being a counselor has afforded me the opportunity to help guide others to healing and stability through education, skill building, behavior modification and teaching them to help themselves. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work in an inpatient setting with chronically mentally ill individuals who had diagnoses that range from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia to depression and anxiety. In the inpatient setting I also was able to work with addiction disorders and dual diagnosis as well as being a supervisor to the other clinicians.Currently I am working in an outpatient counseling center where I am working with clients individually and supervising a team of clinicians. My work can be very challenging at times but also very rewarding.
