Enrolled in a guided exploration of research in chemistry by designing, executing, and presenting a final research project. As a member of a research team, I quantified the caffeine contents in brewed coffee and spent grounds with coffee beans of different roasts and extraction temperatures.

As first author, I conducted a literature review in collaboration with Dr. Carmen Sato-Bigbee exploring the role of the endogenous opioid system on oligodendrocyte development and myelination through literature review. The review investigated the effects of opioid exposure during pregnancy on brain development. Additionally, I independently investigated the usefulness of Nociceptin and NLRP3 as potential biomarkers of different forms of multiple sclerosis. I compared protein levels in cerebrospinal fluid samples from age-matched control and patient samples.

Created strong relationships with patients using excellent customer service.Completed data entry for flu shots, completing 10 patient entries every 5 minutes during high traffic times. Filled prescriptions, one every 5 minutes, with accuracy and efficiency.

Began as a Front Service Clerk, but was promoted within two months. Assisted multiple departments when needed, including Produce, Grocery, and Pharmacy. Balanced a register alongside engaging with customers to cater their shopping experience to their specific needs. Reliable coworker if assistance was needed, even if it was outside my comfort zone.
