RESPONSIBILITIES:• Framework Enhancement: Revamped the existing evaluation framework by introducing new metrics that provided better correlation with the task of identifying bricks on walls. This involved redefining ground truth quality to improve the accuracy of model assessments.• Integration of Advanced Models: Implemented the Segment Anything Model (SAM) from Meta AI to enhance the quality of ground truth images, thereby increasing the reliability of model evaluations.• Data Processing and Analysis: Utilized Python for scripting and data processing, OpenCV for image processing, and Matplotlib for visualizing data to assess model performance. As an R&D intern, my main concern was with generating dummy data that would represent possible telemetry coming from their soon-to-be-launched satellite and visualizing it in Grafana dashboards in the desired way. This required me to get acquainted with the Flux scripting language when working with InfluxDB and Grafana as well as writing Python scripts that would generate the data.
