The Vietnamese Interacting as One Conference (VIA-1), hosted by UVSA-Midwest, serves as a platform for networking, learning, and celebrating Vietnamese heritage, bringing together individuals from the Vietnamese-American community across the Midwest Region.As the Logistics Director, I am responsible for:- Establishing emergency response protocols for potential incidents.- Executing conference logistics including room setup, teardown, communication network, and inventory management.- Assisting in establishing a timeline and ensuring proper committee protocols.- Securing a $34,000 grant as part of the conference bid committee.

A state representative acts as a liaison between their member state, composed of local Vietnamese-interest organizations, and UVSA-MW. State representatives work to implement initiatives to improve both their local community and the Midwest region. As Indiana's state representative, I am responsible for:- Biweekly meetings with each Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) within Indiana.- Planning multiple collaborative events throughout the term involving each VSA.- Promoting UVSA-MW events, applications, and information to all VSAs.

Summer Extravaganza (SE), hosted by UVSA-Midwest, is a weekend summer camp for individuals from the Vietnamese-American community across the Midwest to develop friendships and teamwork through fun games, friendly competition, and quality time.As an Executive Director, I was responsible for:- Interviewing 20 staff members to establish four different committees to plan and execute SE.- Strict budgeting for housing, food, and programming in order to stay under $4,000.- Establishing a master itinerary for the event.- Directing the planning process through weekly meetings with committee directors to ensure timeliness and a robust camp experience.

- Organized transportation logistics by requesting and sorting attendee information for transit to and from the conference.- Established comprehensive emergency response plans to ensure the safety of conference attendees- Optimized media-related workflows for planning, execution, and recap of the event including headshot logistics and media distribution methods.

This project is projected to save over 300 hours and provide an ROI of $14,000 annually.- Revamping the MiR AMR programming to utilize best coding practices including variables, functions, and proper documentation.- Repairing our MiR Fleet instance for full functionality with email alerts and robot map usage.- Utilizing REST API through IFS to provide necessary information to maintain a proper chain of custody.- Spearheading the update of the facility layout within CATIA v5- Leveraging Unreal Engine 5 to transform the 2D facility layout into a Virtual Reality (VR) environment- Utilizing the VR environment to directly contribute to facility mitigation efforts which enhanced communication and allowed visualization of prospective facility upgrades.
