As the Coal Exploration Project Manager for Geotech Drilling Services, Brant managed multiple exploration programs located in the coal fields of Northern British Columbia and Alberta. The duties associated with Brant's role include:•Business development within the coal exploration sector in western Canada; •Preparation of project specific estimates based on client provided scope of work, .•Support to field teams who are involved with the coal exploration projects.•Coordination and management of personnel (3-20 employees) to operate the drill rigs and programs •Based on operator feedback / communication and manufacturer / accepted maintenance protocols, coordinate both routine and required maintenance of the drilling and ancillary equipment to ensure it is necessarily reliable to complete client projects.•Ensuring necessary supplies, consumables and other ancillary equipment is available to satisfactorily meet client expectation and project scope (i.e. checking loads).•Completion of client invoices in consultation with accounts receivable representative accurately and promptly following each project•Coordinate the contractual requirements and considerations for the allocation of current and / or additional resource prior to and / or during the execution of larger projects.•Collect, organize and compile data for preparing proposals and contracts by coordinating available internal and external resources.•Work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of daily responsibilities; including but not limited to, setting up and monitoring appointment reminders, meetings, important dates and client deliverable deadlines.

Throughout his experience in this role for Geotech Drilling Services, Brant acquired experience in the geothermal, geotechnical, and coal exploration drilling industry. As a part-time Driller's Assistant, Brant was able to develop a keen knowledge of the exploration drilling industry. While working as a Driller's Assistant, Brant was able to utilize his experiences and apply it to his college education, as well as, use the funds from this experience to pay for his degree.

Brant managed anywhere between 15-20 college students working on 7 projects to improve the quality of life and standard of living in the Okanagan region. These projects revolved around entrepreneurship, financial literacy and the community's well-being.Within this organization Brant managed marketing consultation projects for 2 local entrepreneurs, creating marketing research papers. This included a marketing research plan for the Downtown Vernon Association and the District of Coldstream.He also Spearheaded the first ever Green Business of the Year Award in partnership with the Vernon Chamber of Commerce. This award was built to recognized environmentally conscious businesses in the Vernon and surrounding area.
