Responsible for creation, maintaining, and dissemination of the: Standards for cargo processing and the EDI (electronic data interchange)messages and CCS (Cargo Community Systems). Cargo Interchange Message Procedures Manual. Cargo Services Conference Resolutions Manual Responsible for the organization and running of the annual Cargo Services Conferenceand related commercial events—symposiums and exhibitons. Responsible for the development and adoption of Resolution 606, the air cargo bar coded label. Ted worked with delegates from more than 50 leading airlines worldwide to develop this standard. Technical liaison to Cargo2000 and its predecessor, CARGO MEDIA (the IATA interest group of top airlines and global logistics companies committed to the consistent implementation of cargo EDI standards and performance measurements worldwide).

Customers included Air Canada, Air France, Air India, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa,Northwest, Qantas and Sabena. Consultative sales support, requirements gathering, and liaison with the technical development teams in-house and with the Cargolux organization around its CHAMP I - Cargo Revenue Accounting package and its integration with the USAS Cargo system. Culminated with the first implementation of a totally integrated cargo system at Air Canada (Project Totem).

Contract programs division responsible for operational planning of all ad hoc cargo charters, scheduled Miliraty Airlift Command passenger and cargo flights. Assignment of loadmasters and briefings to crew and offline, non-company stations. FAA license Aircraft Dispatcher. Close coordination with System Operations Control, Flight Planning and Crew Management. Logisitics for offline operations including highly specialized equipment for livestock, Sea World whales, Formula One race cars.

Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany

Largest all-cargo transatlantic airline at the time. Responsible for space control and allocation for the entire Westbound production from Europe to the US. Based at Frankfurt Rhein Main International AIrport, European Control Center. Close coordination for all aircraft movements and loads with the head office in New York.
