I am the project manager and lead developer for a software project called DMS, the Delivery Management System. It is used by home delivery businesses to manage all aspects of their business and provide the best possible service for their customers. Our software system includes a customer website where home delivery customers manage and update upcoming deliveries, and an office application which the business uses to manage their home delivery business, including planning and preparing deliveries, managing customer orders and accounts, and generating invoices and collecting payment. I work with a small team to design and build new features which help our clients cut costs and be more productive in their business. I consult with clients to help them discover ways that software can streamline their workflows, cut costs and increase their own customer base. I am involved in every part of the software development process, from consulting with clients and collecting requirements, to designing and implementing, and testing and deploying solutions.As the project manager I am also involved in coordinating our marketing and sales efforts. I hold product demonstrations for potential clients and work with them to design, plan and build needed feature enhancements. I enjoy consulting with clients to help them find new ways for software to serve their business and customers. Using the .NET development tools and MS SQL Server, we build customized software solutions which help them meet their business needs.
