The Parker Bounds Johnson Foundation primarily serves at risk young people who face mental health challenges or are at risk of suicide. The foundation raises funds to send at-risk youth to Wilderness Therapy programs, and is building hiking communities across Oregon that support of people touched by mental illness, addiction, or suicide.

- Counseled and mentored at-risk teenage girls ages 12 to 18 in a non-profit residential behavioral treatmentfacility.- Built and maintained therapeutic relationships with 10 - 14 clients at a time, working with a number ofprofessionals in a therapeutic team to maximize the success of each client.- Managed a staff team of Residential Treatment Counselors and advocated for their needs.- Facilitated group skills therapy sessions and individual skills counseling with clients.- Planned and led excursions and activities with clients out in the community, emphasizing and modelingappropriate behavior.- Provided positive reinforcement to clients to support their growth and development.
