I use my knowledge of court documents and of the correct billable stages to audit criminal, civil and due process billings that are submitted by court appointed attorneys and there vendors. This entails reviewing the bill for reasonableness and compliance with the attorney's/ vendor's contract with the Justice Administrative Commission (JAC), JAC policies and procedures, and Florida Statutes.I issue Audit Deficiency Notices and prepare Letters of Objection or No Objection if a bill is deemed non-compliant.I update the JAC's software program, Court-Appointed Accounting System (CAATS), for every billing I audit.I scan all documentation received into the JAC's computer system, and I ensure that each page was scanned correctly.As a member of JAC's Workplace Enhancement Team I assist in creating the best working environment for the employees of JAC.
