Responsibility for the legal support of Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO), a registered investment adviser and HIMCO Variable Insurance Trust (HVIT), a registered investment company. HIMCO manages The Hartford’s general account, a portion of its pension and other separate accounts and unaffiliated institutional accounts. HVIT is an insurance dedicated mutual fund platform. Supervision of the Investment Law Group includes all of the regulatory (SEC, CFTC, state insurance invested asset) matters and transaction types (public and private debt, limited partnerships, commercial real estate debt and equity, derivative and other trading agreements) for Hartford Investment Management Company and all legal and governance matters for HVIT. Joined The Hartford in March of 1999. Experience prior to joining The Hartford: associate in the Corporate Finance Department of Hebb & Gitlin, specializing in the area of private placement transactions on behalf of institutional lenders and associate at Hoberman & Pollack practicing in the area of commercial finance. B.A. in Economics (summa cum laude) in 1987 from the State University of New York College at Potsdam and her J.D. in 1992 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
