Brenda Bih Chi (Cameroon) is an activist for youth and women empowerment. She has an honors degree in agronomy and is currently pursuing a master in women and gender studies with the aim of developing more effective strategies of empowering women in Agriculture and other sectors. Her passions are agribusiness, women empowerment, and natural resource management. Driven by her passion Brenda has worked with small holder farmers, training them on technical and entrepreneurial skills through organizations such as Women Who Farm Africa and Kucheza. Additionally, Brenda’s passion to empower women, led her to founding an initiative called “My African Womanhood”, which aims to contribute to the formation African girls and women to potential leaders. Through this initiative, Brenda and her team have implemented projects focused on involving youths in Agriculture, enhancing access to quality education for young girls, and promoting sustainable menstruation for girls in rural communities. Brenda is also the founder of AL for Agribusiness Holistic women which aims to coach youths especially girls in Agriculture. Lastly, Brenda was a winner of Professionals Across African Diaspora Summit, a speaker at the AL Network Gathering in Ghana and a Speaker at TEDx Llorente Women in Costa Rica.
