Hey there! I've earned a few national awards in Speech-Language Pathology in the areas of Augmentative & Alternative Communication practices and patient care and satisfaction. I'm also an author of the Universal Communication Functional Classification System (CFCS) based on the WHO-ICF. How and why I earn these is because I help non-verbal folks communicate in ways that are better, faster, and easier with those around them.I love helping people communicate with their families for the first time. There are usually tears. I have a job that brings literal tears of joy. Then I teach other people how to do it, too. I serve private clients and their families, school districts and organizations in Michigan and via 1:1 therapy, AAC assessments and evaluations, group therapy, and speaking engagements. In my spare time I create health models for evidence based practice and hang out with my chickens and bourgeoning menagerie on our hobby homestead.
