The unique offer that is Smooth Transitions provides executive coaching for business leaders who are in transition and who simultaneously need to be delivering demanding business results.The heart of our service is executive coaching for individual leaders, delivered by Brendan Beder and Lindsay Wittenberg working simultaneously – two-handed coaching.A typical coaching programme consists of ten 2-hour face-to-face sessions at approximately monthly intervals. We also coach remotely via Teams and Zoom.Clients who have made international moves into new roles may also have partners who would benefit from executive coaching for transition, and our service extends to them too.Brendan and Lindsay have a niche area of specialisation in respect of Psychological Safety in the workplace and are both licensed and accredited practitioners with the leading US Fearless Organization LLC.

Brendan has specialised in UK Immigration Law since setting up Beder-Harrison & Co in 1992. This followed him studying Comparative Immigration Law for his Master of Laws Degree at University College London where he also undertook a specialist course in Law Lecturing. He lectured in Commercial Law whilst completing a B.A. and LL.B. Degree in South Africa also completing his Legal Training with a leading law firm and working for a Judge of the Supreme Court. Brendan’s Practice has developed a niche in respect of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Sponsor Licence work as well as all other areas of Immigration Law leading to Settlement and Naturalisation. He provides Immigration services to Corporate and Private Clients of a number of firms of Solicitors. Brendan is frequently called on by these firms to provide presentations updating their partners and key clients on all aspects of and changes to UK Immigration Law. Brendan qualified in Executive Coaching at Regents College in 2005 and provides coaching to mainly Law and other Professionals in areas relating to Change, Anger and Stress Management, Building Confidence and Enhancing Meaningful Relationships as well as achieving Work/Life Balance and Performance Excellence.

As an Executive Coach, Brendan Beder has assisted clients with Psychological Safety, change management, performance excellence, stress management and the enhancing of special relationships (including adviser/client) since 2005. He has been a Member of the Association for Coaching for a number of years and is a Certified Coach, having studied life and executive coaching and mediation at Regents College. He has worked with leading U.K. and U.S. coaching figures and has worked with entities such as Visa, Microsoft, LogicaCMG, Fred Perry, Standard Bank, David Lloyd Group and Viveka.Brendan has assisted numerous corporate, commercial and private clients from a variety of countries with personal development, change management, life and executive coaching.He frequently works with leading international sportsmen, celebrities and captains of industry.He has developed a niche area of specialisation, providing executive coaching to big business and professional practices, particularly solicitors, given his wealth of experience within the legal arena and served as Wellbeing Ambassador within the Legal Profession (ILPA).Brendan has also studied and assisted clients with Autogenic Training (AT) for a period of over 17 years as a central part of a stress management and wellbeing programme. AT is an effective self-generated relaxation technique to facilitate optimum performance in challenging circumstances.He specialises in Time Limited Existential Coaching where the emphasis is on focus and results, preparing the client to continue tackling issues effectively and independently after coaching sessions have ended.He runs executive coaching courses targeted at senior level professionals with particular emphasis on client facing scenarios. He has lectured to teaching staff and PhD students at Oxford Brookes University on the practical application of Existential Coaching. He facilitates courses on behalf of training entities, firms of solicitors and on a 1-1 basis.
