Brendan Joyce manages Lyft’s government affairs and community engagement in the Northeast U.S., representing the rideshare company with state & local elected officials, business & trade associations, nonprofit partners, and drivers. A proud alumnus of Bridgewater State University, he has played a leadership role during many major political, non-profit, and industry efforts.Prior to his time at Lyft, Brendan held various leadership positions on the political campaigns of Boston Chief of Economic Development John Barros, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh, U.S. Asst. Secretary of Homeland Security Juliette Kayyem, MA State Representative Dan Cullinane, MA Attorney General Martha Coakley, Newton Mayor Setti Warren, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, and MA Governor Deval Patrick. He served as Community Engagement Leader for Boston’s bid for the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games and Organizing Director for Fair Shot for All, a non-profit focused on combating economic inequality across MA. Brendan has also managed several large scale community engagement & public affairs efforts for various real estate firms, helping to secure the approval of over 3 million square feet of mixed-use and affordable housing development in the Greater Boston area.Brendan currently lives in Central MA with his wife Adrienne and children Colman, Emilia, and Ronan.
