I also manage our team activity account, raised over $1,000 from fundraisers, manage bussing logistics to tournaments, and manage our team invoices and registrations.Notable Student Accomplishments: -In 2023, a student of mine qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament in U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking.-In 2023, two students of mine qualified for the NIETOC tournament in Original Oratory.-In 2023, two students of mine qualified for the AA State Speech Tournament in Discussion, both placing top 10 in state and placing first and second in our Section Tournament.-In 2022, a student of mine qualified for the NIETOC tournament in Original Oratory and placed in the top 100 competitors. I judged 6 rounds at this national tournament, including the Quarterfinal round for Extemporaneous Speaking.-In 2022, a student of mine was a National Qualifier semifinalist for Original Oratory in the Minnesota Southern District, placing 8th overall. -In 2022, the six members of my Discussion team broke to final rounds a total of 17 times, with three placing in the final round at the Bloomington Tournament and one taking 1st overall. -In 2021, a student of mine placed 4th in Novice Poetry Reading at the Apple Valley Tournament.-In 2020, a student of mine placed 2nd in Novice Original Oratory at the Eden Prairie Tournament. I work with junior and adult players who range from tennis beginners to high skilled tournament level players. My role consists of scheduling all general council meetings, creating agendas for the general council meetings, hosting and attending all executive council meetings, representing the InterCorps Council to individuals outside the organization, and meeting individually with all InterCorps Council members twice.This year I have also been involved with the creation of our Americorps Week events, a podcast series, and distributing racial equity information to service sites across Minnesota. Results of polls would be analyzed and then translated into articles which would be put onto the Center's website as well as shared with the student newspaper.In the Spring of 2019 I collected over 500 student opinions on extending the Northstar line to St. Cloud and over 200 written testimonies from students about the impact the rail would have on their lives. I then testified in front of the MN House of Representatives Transportation Committee during a field hearing in St. Cloud about the importance of the extension to the CSB/SJU and Central Minnesota community.I created a Voter Registration Coalition that aimed to raise student awareness of the 2018 Midterm election. We held door knocking events, tabled in lunch rooms, and hosted forums for students to discuss political issues. Voter turnout increased to 55.1% at the College of St. Benedict and 52% for Saint John's University students. These turnout figures earned the College of St. Benedict national recognition for having the largest increase for a small, private, participating school from the All-In Campus Democracy Challenge.
