I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 18.I started out at The Lakehouse Restaurant in country Victoria Australia (a Small Luxury Hotel of the World and "hatted" restaurant)This was where my appreciation of fine service and hospitality and my love of good food and wine began.Since then I have worked in various establishments in Victoria, holding supervisory and management roles including a 120 seat country restaurant, management roles in 2 country hotels and a conference center overseeing 2 function rooms, wedding events and a fine dining restaurant.Later I moved to Queensland and in 2014 my wife brought her own cafe which I ran with my wife for 7 years. I was totally hands on managing the day to day operations of our very busy local breakfast/lunch cafe as owner/manager. We sold after 7 years and I have been working at a local bakery/pie store as store manager whilst working on our plan to make the big move to Canada.
