I am a content designer, learning manager, virtual event coordinator, and video editor. I seek ways to create connection and offer a spirit of belonging across digital platforms. I am engaged in building a movement that bridges mindfulness practice, learning communities, and expression through the digital arts.My work includes ten years of customer service and program administration for the San Francisco Zen Center. I spent the first year of the pandemic ambitiously expanding our online presence from 5 online courses to include over 120 programs that year. In 2022, I launched learn.sfzc.org to publish monthly on-demand courses, and with it, my new career in video editing and learning management.I have mastered the use of Teachable to support live and on-demand courses, and Asana for managing production and post-production workflows. Since Spring of 2022, I have been taking courses in video production, advanced video editing, and post-production while pursuing a 60-credit Certificate in Multimedia Studies at Portland Community College. I trained in mindfulness for three years at the Tassajara Zen monastery and guest retreat center in California. The experience of collaborating with spiritual teachers and cultivating relationships with the public onsite provided my foundation for curating online learning content and workshops, managing live and on-demand online programs.Skills and continuing education:• Learning Management Systems• Adobe Premiere• Davinci Resolve• Unity• Descript• Audacity• Other software: Adobe Photoshop, Zoom, Slack, Asana, Google products, JWPlayer, Dropbox, Salesforce, web content creation, HTML Skills, LucidChart, and social media.• Media Courses: Video Editing, Advanced Video Editing, Color Correction, VideoFoundations, Digital Media Foundations, Lighting and Cinematography• Trainings: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion: Advanced Immersion, 2016 Anti-Bias Education Conference,Awakening to Whiteness (Zen Community of Oregon)• Live in-studio and remote broadcasting as a volunteer radio host
