My career trajectory has navigated my passion from musical performance to music technology, and eventually to applied computer science and machine learning. Now I design software and hardware for audio analysis and synthesis while keeping the values of end-users in mind. When working on projects, I consider the important elements of control, latency, ease-of-use, exploration, and audio quality. My PhD research has allowed me to approach topics such as DSP, probabilistic machine learning, and qualitative/quantitative evaluation with a similar mindset.I hope to continue contributing towards cutting-edge solutions to MIR and audio synthesis. I am also excited by the prospect of expanding my knowledge in other domains of machine learning in a fast-paced company driven by results and commercial value. I would look forward to refining and nurturing my passion for creative software design while pursuing efficient, state-of-the-art performance.
