About Brenda Campbell

Contact me at brenda@securefutures.org or 414.273.8101. My purpose is to advance equity and opportunity for women and underserved individuals. It is as leader of SecureFutures that I’ve made the greatest impact on our communities. SecureFutures has empowered more than 80,000 teens with financial skills and guidance, and I have led the nonprofit since it was founded as Make A Difference – Wisconsin in 2006. I am committed to our organization’s mission to enable an entire generation of teens to take control of their financial futures. We created a movement toward this goal and are constantly on the search for new supporters, volunteers, partners and educators. I'd love to talk to you about how you can help lead teens towards more secure futures. Contact me directly (brenda@securefutures.org) or find out more about our ambitious plan to empower a generation of teens with financial skills and mentoring at securefutures.org/plan. Year in and year out, it’s the teens in our program that continually remind me of the power a person can have once they feel confident and capable with financial behaviors. The success stories of students like Daisy, Jeremy, Fefe and Ryan (and so many more) speak to the incredible outcomes from our programs. The eager collaboration by education partners, supporters and volunteers from the business community show that we are part of a movement toward strengthening our communities.

President And Ceo (Financial Literacy, Education, And Coaching For Teens)
Securefutures (Teen Financial Literacy Education, Tools, And Mentoring) Aug 2006 - Present
    Wisconsin
I've been the leader of SecureFutures since inception, from a handful of schools and students in 2006 to an organization that empowers thousands of students statewide and beyond every year. Now in our 18th year, our programs have engaged more than 117,000 students. The unique aspect of our program stems from the connection we provide between business community volunteers and teens in the delivery of three programs.Money Sense, our financial fundamentals program introduces teens to essential financial literacy concepts and practices such as budgeting, banking, credit and loans. Money Coach, our one-of-a-kind mentoring program specifically focuses on teens from underserved communities, engaging teens in small groups and one-on-one to prepare them to live independently after high school. Money Path, our newest program is a cutting-edge, web-based financial education application that allows students to explore how decisions about college, career, budgeting, and saving will impact long-term goals and lifelong financial success. At SecureFutures, I’m responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations and program expansion to meet our growing teen financial empowerment mission. I play a lead role in fund development, including the oversight of our signature fundraising event, an annual Investment Conference, which has become the Midwest’s go-to event for investment ideas presented to a sell-out audience of investors and business leaders. I serve as the organization’s spokesperson and regularly contribute to news and thought leadership opportunities on issues related to financial literacy and empowerment. I am proud to serve as a speaker at regional and national events and to share our proven outcomes and inspiring student stories, especially with organizations and outlets that share our vision of stronger communities through financial capability. Please contact me at brenda@securefutures.org or (414) 273-8101, or find out more about us at ssecurefutures.org.
