I currently work as project manager for both zencontrol and Evolt. My biggest career accomplishment has been certifying the first DALI-2 input devices in the world.I have a dual degree in Microelectronic Engineering and Information Technology. I started my career with a startup now known as zencontrol. At the time there were only 3 other engineers, since 2010 the company has grown to one of the largest suppliers of control and emergency lighting products in Australia. zencontrol design and manufacture DALI/DALI-2 control devices under the zencontrol brand as well as emergency control gear under Ektor brand. zencontrol now distribute globally to over 24 countries. Over the past 12 years I have worked as an embedded software engineer, firmware engineer, electronics engineer and now am the National R&D project manager. Whilst working in different departments I have introduced tools and processes to ensure projects are well managed and executed using agile principles.I assist our factory in China that is owned and operated by our Australian engineers. I also support the industrialisation team with PCBA procedures and support until the product is in mass-production.As well as managing R&D projects at zencontrol I manage projects for Evolt Pty Ltd who supply atom and Ektor branded products through electrical wholesalers as well as lighting products to Bunnings under their house brands. In my role as project manager for Evolt I work with the product / compliance and quality managers, graphic design team and a number of suppliers in China.I'm an active member of the DALI Alliance (aka DiiA) and take particular interest in the 104 subgroup that are currently making additions to the IEC62386-104 standard and creating the certification program for DALI+ over Thread. My involvement in the DALI Alliance technical working group includes supporting clarifications and improvements to the IEC 62386 standards, assisting with development of test sequences as well as proposing new methods and tools to work in a more agile method.
