I have over two decades of professional experience as a project manager, program evaluator, learning facilitator, and writer and communications specialist - mostly in the nonprofit sector, doing international development and humanitarian work. My project management and leadership experience have been cultivated through the completion of over a hundred projects as an independent management consultant, both in Canada and internationally. As a skilled facilitator, I am committed to creative use of active learning and participatory design. I am known for my ability to think and act strategically, to work collaboratively, to write and speak with clarity, and to build positive interpersonal rapport with a diverse range of people. My deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion has been developed through seven years cross-cultural living in Malaysia and Uganda, substantial international contract work, and extensive professional development with a commitment to lifelong learning.
