As an embedded SDET I worked both directly with our development pods on active feature testing and with the Test Team as a whole working on system level automated tests. This involved creating and updating Product Abstractions to facilitate our Python tests, planning and developing new internal tools to assist in testing, and providing technical insight when creating Product Coverage Outlines. I was also the Owner of the Regression Testing for our weekly releases, leading the effort of automated and manual testing that we determined was necessary to ensure stable product deployment.

During my time at Turing's accelerated Backend Engineering program I learned the importance of Test Driven Development and Object Oriented Programming through Ruby, Rails, Javascript and many other languages and frameworks. Working on teams of varying sizes using Agile processes we were able to create, prototype, and deliver applications with tight deadlines. We also had the opportunity to build on top of existing code bases and understand Developer Empathy and reducing Technical Debt.

Being one of the first participants in an experimental internship between Support and Engineering I had the opportunity to work with our Restaurant Life Cycle Engineering team in San Francisco. In the process of learning how to write Cypress.io automated tests using their best practices I was able to implement over 20 tests that will be used by the team going forward. These JavaScript tests encompassed 'basic acceptance tests' and 'end-to-end' suites for our restaurant user-management application. These scripts were based off of the needs found through manual testing matrices that I wrote, determining with the team what could be automated and used in future projects. I also found bugs and created detailed tickets in our Agile workflow to be resolved by one of our developers.

Provided exceptional Customer Service to diner and restaurant customers, ensuring that their issue was resolved and they ended the call with a smile. Worked on a diverse array of technical issues including internet network configuration, database troubleshooting, and legacy hardware replacement. Received escalated cases, technical and otherwise, handling them with one call resolutions. Taught coworkers through in-person assistance and our internal chat platform on harder technical cases. Also worked on the Restaurant Referral team assisting restaurants implement our Reservation Widget on their websites. Consistently received top marks from the call Quality Assurance team and customer feedback forms.

Lead all departments during the night shift through the closing procedures, ensuring the store was secure and safe. Trained new associates across departments, teaching customer service practices and product knowledge. Helped customers throughout the entire store with any inquiries or issues they might have had.
