This biochemistry lab centered at VCU focuses on two main areas: light reactive cancer drugs and protein-protein interactions. My projects include the production of modified amino acids that promote protein stability and prevent degradation through cyclization of amino acids. Techniques learned: acid/base extraction, column chromatography, rotary evaporator, TLC along with solvent system experiments, box-removal procedures, NMR processing, lyophilization.
