Assisting and overseeing origin/ocean operations for 10 ocean carriers.Created a Power BI dashboard to managed weekly MQC versus order volume at the lane level. This allowed for us to react earlier to either find more vessel space or move orders around to fulfill contract obligations.Utilized prior experience within Dollar General from the seasonal team to prioritize seasonal shipments. By doing so I was able to increase on time arrival to the DC and mitigate any sales loss by late arrival.Led a mid season bid to bring online a new hub and spoke model for international shipments. This meant getting bids for the new lanes and reallocation of existing carrier lanes.

In this current role I managed inventory planning, inventory/order management, and store allocations at 18 DC's servicing over 18,000 stores for non-core Value Valley, Stationery, Electronics, Gift Sets, and Air Care.Revamped the store allocation tool for Value Valley to promote a random assortment per store while also prioritizing each stores top selling items. This new approach would allow for record sells in inventory classes not historically seen before. Built a tool to revamp the Value Valley inventory ordering process with 1010 Data. This tool looked to even out the DC networks inventory weeks of supply at each buy cadence. The previous process split inventory by DC store count with no regard to current on hands leading to excessive unproductive inventory in the DC network.Utilized 1010 Data to build a truck load optimization tool for both seasonal and Value Valley inventory. These programs could not take advantage of current in house tools and needed another solution. I was able to mimic the logic in 1010 Data allowing for the team to optimize inbound truck loads when creating orders.

Started off handling Hardware and later absorbing Value Valley, Gift Sets, and Holiday Air Care. This involved inventory planning, inventory/order management, and executing store allocations for 17 DC's servicing nearly 18,000 stores.While also managing these plans, I created and managed a majority of the seasonal executive reporting needs.Built a new tool to prioritize inventory on the lot at the DC. This new on the lot prioritization tool allowed us to prioritize trailers by what was inside based on a variety of categories. We could now prioritize the trailer priority by seasonal event, new item, POG reset, and out of stock recovery. Created a tool to revamp the seasonal inventory store allocation process utilizing 1010 Data. This new tool would put the business managers back in control of their inventory to avoid misallocation caused by supply chain headwinds. This also meant that the team could stop entering stock levels in AS400 saving the team over 3000 hours a year. The creation of this tool allowed the team to increase DC outbound forecasting accuracy, increase sell thru, and mitigate markdown risk by driving inventory to high performing stores.

Assisted the Allocations team in seasonal planning, PO maintenance, and reporting. My responsibilities in this role grew quickly as the pandemic hit. This meant stepping up and diving into problems as they arose and learning how to find answers and work cross functionally to find solves.Most notably improved the "Set Readiness' report used to track seasonal shipments domestic and internationally into the DC's. The report update time went from 8 hours to just 2 hours by utilizing 1010 Data. This new format allowed for true end to end tracking so that the team could assess viability in bringing inventory in sooner to meet COVID demand. Later this report would be utilized to assess risk of late international shipments.
