Exploration Geologist at Carborough Downs Coal Mine Complex, a Fitzroy Australia Resources operation.Key Responsibilities+ Actively contribute to a safe, healthy and efficient working environment and culture.+ Support the Senior Mine Geologist with the design of the exploration programs.+ Plan, implement and manage the exploration programs.+ Work closely with the Mine Technical Services team to support the safe and efficient extraction of the deposit and to maximise efficient drilling operations.+ Liaise with other mine personnel and contractors to support the safe and efficient extraction of the deposit and to maximise efficient drilling operations.+ Daily management and responsibility for all inspections, excavations, drilling, cementing and rehabilitation activities.+ High quality geological and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core and rock chips.+ Conduct Q1 gas compliance, coal quality, spontaneous combustion, frictional ignition and geotechnical sampling and testing in accordance with site procedures.+ Geological data validation and interpretation, geophysics correlations and corrections, coal seam reconciliations.+ QA/QC analysis of sample data and results.+ Ensure the data collected and captured in the company database is maintained to a high standard of quality.+ Assist with safety investigations to ensure that incidents and/or injuries are fully reviewed in a timely manner and corrective actions are identified and allocated appropriately.+ Actively participate in mine meetings.+ Prepare and issue internal/external daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.+ Utilise and maintain a working technical knowledge of AutoCAD, Acquire, LogCheck, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Office.+ Utilise and maintain the drill core storage facility.+ Safely operate and maintain various makes of mine site 4WD vehicles.+ Assisting the Senior Mine Geologist as required.
