I have been a working theatre professional for over 20 years. I have toured the country with numerous shows, both for other companies and those of my own creation. I served as Artistic Director of Ohio Festival Theatre for 10 years and would be thrilled to fill such a position again for an equally adventurous theatre group. Until January of 2013, I served as AD for Metamorphosis Theatre Company, which was a group created specifically to explore established classic works in new ways while also benefitting two charities in Columbus, Ohio. The company closed after 3 years when the charities felt the need had been filled.As a writer I have adapted works by Shakespeare and Dickens and Irving to the stage, am currently developing a new play based on the work of Robert Louis Stevenson, and am working on a series of historical novels.As a designer, I have created the sets, lighting, costumes, and sound for over 30 productions with dozens of companies.Specialties: I am a classically-trained actor, bass-baritone singer, certified actor/combatant, and accomplished scenic designer. I am also a published and performed playwrite and play doctor. As an actor, I have a great ear for accents and voices and have lately been employing those with more voice over work.

Heyman talent has provided me with work in commercials and training films for such diverse groups as Dayton International Airport, Frisch's Big Boy, Cincinnati Bell, and Wright State University. I am always seeking more employment in commercials, film, and voice-overs.
Recently debuted my newest piece, a versionof "Oliver Twist" to be performed by just 6 actors. Also developing a One Man version of the show and a new work based on the writings of Robert Louis Stevenson.

MTC is dedicated to producing classic works in new and exciting ways while also benefitting two charities in Columbus, Ohio. All proceeds from every performance go to COMPASS and The Food Pantry at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, thus allowing auditions to not only be entertained and educated, but to help those less fortunate at the same time.
Toured in "Tales of Flight," "Tales of the Silk Road," "Aesop's Fables" and "Look Out, Galileo!" I also created roles in "Tales of Flight" and "Giants." In each show I played at least one human character and anywhere from 4 to 11 puppet characters.
OFT was a repertory theatre company based on Columbus, Ohio. At one point it was the fastest growing theatre in the area, going from performing just three shows each summer to a full year's season of twelve shows. Unfortunately, when the economy downturned after September 11, 2001, the company was one of five theatres in central Ohio that closed it's doors.
