I have 13+ years of experience in national service and nonprofit programming, which has included serving as the former Director of the South Carolina Service Commission and National AmeriCorps Director for SBP Inc. As SBP Inc.’s former National Director of AmeriCorps, I provided leadership to a team of AmeriCorps and Human Resources professionals based across the organization’s six operating sites and implemented strategies to ensure that over 300 positions were recruited and retained annually.While serving as the Director of the SC Service Commission, I worked closely with our Governor-appointed Board of Commissioners to provide leadership to a state-wide portfolio of AmeriCorps grantees that included non-profits, government agencies, and institutions of higher learning.My passion for talent acquisition and development has led me to obtain professional certifications in both recruitment and meeting facilitation, and I enjoy having opportunities to assist both program and commission staff in working towards meeting their professional goals.I am passionate about active transportation and environmental conservation, and currently reside in Columbia, SC with my wonderful wife Rachel, toddler Carter, baby girl Zoey, and fur-baby Marley.
