The Purple Heart Project's mission is to introduce physically and mentally combat wounded Veterans, still suffering from the negative effects of combat, to the peace and joy that can be found through the therapy of traditional hand tool woodworking.

Responsible for the overall coordination and administrative oversite of the LOTO program. Serve as the subject matter expert for the planning, installation, and removal of system or component lock-out/tag-outs within the facility. Frequently utilize electrical schematics, piping isometrics and mechanical detail drawings to determine work boundaries and affected systems. Responsible for providing training to site personnel on the LO/TO database and ensuring a program that provides proper LOTO's with all required supporting documentation. Experience in the use of multiple software systems, maintain databases on plant equipment and subsystems. Support various departments with lockout planning and maintain awareness of upcoming work scope requiring lockouts. Provide discrepancy lockout resolutions, as needed, and document these items for future use.

Ordnance Technician at a chemical demilitarization facility processing munitions for agent neutralization. Operator of neutralization processing systems and assistant operator of internal & external plant systems.- Provided systems analysis to engineering control operators & management that aided leadership in determining utilization levels based on capability.- Performed systems monitoring and manual control by employing newly established procedures proving viability of processes.- Ensured workplace safety and procedural compliance leading to zero incidents.

Responsible for the repair of products in the customer’s home including the following home appliances: Washers & Dryers, Gas & Electric Stoves, Microwave Ovens, Dishwashers, Trash Compactors, Garbage Disposers and other home appliances. This position provides timely and quality repairs of customers’ products while maintaining high customer service. Additionally, technicians promote and sell additional products and services to receive additional sales compensation.

Set up leadership or executive development programs among employees in lower level positions. These programs are designed to develop potential and current executives to replace those retiring. Trainers also lead programs to assist employees with transitions due to mergers and acquisitions, as well as technological changes. In government-supported training programs, training specialists function as case managers. They first assess the training needs of clients, then guide them through the most appropriate training method. After training, clients either may be referred to employer relations representatives or receive job placement assistance.Planning and program development is an important part of the training specialist's job. In order to identify and assess training needs within the firm, trainers may confer with managers and supervisors or conduct surveys. They also periodically evaluate training effectiveness.

Served as a Cannon Crew Member in the Field Artillery. Over the years held a number of positions to include Driver, Cannoner, Gunner, Chief of Section, and Radar Section Chief. Deployed 3 times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Also supported Operations in the Republic of Korea twice.

Supervises reconnaissance and emplacement of the radar system; supervises and trains the section in radar operations and hasty survey techniques; evaluates, processes, and reports target information to BN/BDE; responsible for the maintenance of the radar system consisting of two HMMWVs, and two 60KW generators valued in excess of $37,000,000.

Plans, layouts, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. Responsibilities include: - Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. - Laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on material, using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or using templates. - Set up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. Shapes metal material over anvil, block, or other form, using hand tools. Trim, file, grind, de-burr, buff, and smooth surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools. Welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds component parts to assemble products, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices. Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers.
