The Purple Heart Project (PHP)

The Purple Heart Project's mission is to introduce physically and mentally Combat Wounded Veterans, still suffering from the negative effects of combat, to the peace and joy that can be found through the therapy of traditional hand tool woodworking. The Purple Heart Project (PHP) is a U.S. public charity recognized under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) since 1 July 2022 and is exempt from federal income taxes under IRC 501(c)(3). PHP’s U.S. Federal ID / Tax number is 88-2217122. The PHP is also a nonprofit corporation, incorporated in the state of Washington and is a Washington state registered charity. The PHP’s Washington state unified business number (UBI) is 604 974 078.
