I work with area churches to resource them through search team consulting, ministry systems consulting, pulpit supply, interim pastor roles, writing resources to equip local congregations, and technology consulting. My ministry in this chapter of life is to do whatever is needed to help local churches thrive within their communities and within the broader context of the body of Christ. I am less concerned about the sign out front than I am that the good news of salvation through Christ alone is being preached from the pulpit. I encourage local congregations in small and rural towns that if their doors are open, God still has a plan for them to reach those who need Christ in thier community.

Brent has been serving in Bi-vocational and Full-time Youth Ministry since accepting the call to ministry in 2001. His work experience in the fields of Information Technology and Child Abuse Investigation gives him a missional mindset to creatively reach those that would never darken the doors of traditional church. Pastor Lacy has an A.A.S. in Business Marketing from Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois and a B.S. in Church Ministries from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.Pastor Lacy published his first book “Rural Youth Ministry:Thrive Where You’re Planted” with Group/Simply Youth Ministry in December 2012. In Spring 2014, He will be leading Rural Youth Ministry Workshops at the Simply Youth Ministry Conference and the Rural Home Missionary Association Small Town Pastor’s Conference.Pastor Lacy was called to be the Associate/Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church in 2009.
