Reporting to the Head of Asset Finance, I was responsible for managing the successful run-off of a £80m (A$160m) Business and Asset Finance loan portfolio for Peer-to-Peer Lending Pioneer, RateSetter.The main tasks involved: Manage all aspects of the relationship with the client to ensure that service exceeds expectations. Responsible for credit monitoring, management and analysis of the entire portfolio. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Commercial Credit Committee, Executive Credit Committee and Board Risk Committee with recommendations for future strategy. Established a Legal Recoveries process to commence claims through the courts. Monitoring of all set financial and non-financial covenants to ensure full compliance, with breaches escalated as appropriate. Monitoring, reporting and management of all arrears and defaults within the Commercial Finance portfolio. This includes liaising with customers, advisors and professionals. Liaising with Insolvency Practitioners regarding struggling borrowers, including appointment of Administrators. Building and enhancing the existing reporting systems in place to ensure efficiency and accuracy are achieved. Liaising with IT, Credit Lead in the ongoing enhancement of the commercial platform to promote end user satisfaction. Input into development of the RateSetter product offering. People management. Forward planning, ensuring that sufficient resources are available at all times to meet the demands of a growing business.

 Senior Manager and Team Leader of the Consumer Collections department, helping to build and manage the team that recovers debt across the customer base. Set up, motivate and develop Collections Agents to meet defined client / company objectives. Central point of contact for any escalated queries or complaints and provide constructive feedback to team members if appropriate. Ensure the team achieve KPI’s and responsible for ensuring the team are efficient, organised and fully skilled to meet their work objectives within a busy call centre. Responsible for reporting of the team’s performance to Senior Management and Executive Committee.

Analysing the needs and objectives of clients via an extensive interview process whilst simultaneously fostering strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients. Aiming to educate clients in all areas of financial planning in order to facilitate greater financial knowledge and ultimately an improved financial position for the client allowing them to reach long term objectives. Managing client expectations by conducting in depth reviews and answering questions in regards to clients financial plan.Communicate effectively with clients about complex information in order to help them achieve their goalsLiaise with Para-Planners and Advisory Panel (superannuation, mortgage department, law, realty, insurance & managed investments) to analyse appropriate structures and strategies to benefit clients situation.Providing financial advice to clients across budgeting, debt reduction/home loans, tax mitigation, equities investments, direct property investment, managed funds, superannuation (including self managed) as well as estate planning. I play an active role in the development of a client's overall financial strategy as well as provide an ongoing review service to ensure both financial and lifestyle goals are achieved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Lead a team of 6-10 and was responsible for overseeing the generation of new business leads. My role included educating junior advisers on financial planning strategies and developing their client engagement skills to ready them for the transition into client facing roles.Given the responsibility of bringing new clients to the business. Initiated cold calls to find qualified leads and then organised and conducted initial consultations with prospects with the intent of converting a high percentage into new business for the firm. This was a heavily sales based role that quickly developed my interpersonal and client engagement skills to a high level.
