DevOps and IT for the Berkeley office (formerly CANDI Controls, Inc.) Legacy LAMP stack application on an autoscaling load balancer in GCP with redundancy. Migrated older Jenkins/Github based build CI/CD system to Gitlab while maintaining the old in parallel. Built Azure Kubernetes environments with Terraform for newer applications and created manifests for several proprietary applications that used Ansible and Kustomize overlays for deploy. I managed Devops, IT Operations, and Infrastructure for Candi. We had an IoT Cloud based service that runs atop a virtual server environment on Linux in GCP. I built a fully automated configuration management system based on Google Cloud Platform, Ansible, Jenkins, and custom scripting. Numerous PoC environment builds for various new projects. Security scanning and vulnerability testing, along with compliance testing with internal tools and third party vendors.

I managed IT and Operations with 200+ Linux VMs on Xenserver in our own colocation, hosting web based applications for elderly care management. Chef and Ansible for deploying new VMs, Nagios and Zabbix for monitoring.

I managed a 5 man IT team that supported 3 server rooms, 3 total locations, as well as external connections, internal networks, phone systems, inventory, ticketing systems, and remained a hands-on manager.

I managed the internal IT infrastructure consisting of multiple floors in a single building with 3 total server rooms. Our IT department was a mixture of Flagship and Ping 0 employees together in one team of 5 total with me as the manager, two administrators, and two general technicians/administrators. We managed the employee needs as well as things like connections to the datacenter; a massive build system; an internal QA server environment that was constantly changing; unified phone system with analog and VOIP; internal desktop support; conference room equipment support; and numerous other standard IT tasks, but this certainly was a novel environment, by having employees from both Flagship and Ping 0 on multiple floors to support. It seemed like one company but the resources were shared.

I owned and operated a small computer and network support company. My customers ranged from a chain of convenience stores to random office support for various types of businesses.I developed a shopping cart front end for a client. The website allowed customers to custom order golf-style shirts with custom monograms and colors. I spent over 1 year developing the scripts and constantly modifying the interface. Sadly the project lost funding due to the government cutting back on programs that help developmentally disabled individuals.I supported numerous companies over a period of 7 years. I sold the company when I took my current job.

I took over their first website and further developed the site, adding new stories and building websites for customers.
