Team Mentor for Team 4492 Mindcrafters- develop and deliver lesson plans to three LEGO League teams on teamwork, the First LEGO League Core Values, problem solving, software development, software reliability, software testing, sensor use and calibration, robot navigation, chassis design, drive train design, mathematics, documentation, and presentation skills- work with professional teachers to verify that children were developing their own designs and software: use a learning paradigm under which the only bad solution to a problem is the one I give them- create environment of teamwork in a team comprised of children with a wide range of confidence levels, learning styles and previous experience- coached and supervised teams in competition - what a complete blast!!!

- Responsible System Engineer for the Bruce B Training Simulator at Bruce Power- background in real-time process modeling of electrical and fluid systems, and validating simulation upgrades- develop and implement QA processes for unit and integration testing. Improved process by including simulator users in program and creating the first effective automated reliability testing process for the simulator- liase with clients to ensure that simulator fidelity issues are identified, then solved or dispositioned, in timely manner- review engineering change documentation for reference station to determine whether upgrades are required to simulator; ensure that they are implemented as required- ensure that simulator changes are implemented to required software engineering and documentation standards- plan maintenance activities on simulator and assign to team members; follow up to verify tasks performed as required and that change documentation updated as required- train new staff in modeling and testing methodology- deliver training to simulator training staff on how to use the simulator environments- primary contact for Training staff for issues with simulator. Document, prioritize, assign and verify fixes to simulator reliability problems- design and execute Factory and Site Acceptance Test plans on and off site- executed Focused Area Self Assessment on validation processes at Bruce Power that resulted in efficiency and effectiveness improvements to validation process- present papers and chair sessions at industry group meetings and vendor seminars
