Senior Patent Agent, Ip Portfolio Management
CurrentAs a Patent Agent with SEAKR Engineering, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies, I coordinate IP prosecution and IP strategy in collaboration with executives, engineering fellows, program managers, business development leaders, and R&D leads to effectuate a global IP strategy. Prosecution experience includes USA, Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, and Israel. I regularly participate in Examiner interviews and work in conjunction with outside counsel to prepare claim amendments to obtain the broadest coverage for SEAKR's IP portfolio. Working with internal subject matter experts, I harvest and develop invention disclosures, prepare applications for filing, discuss technical advantages and distinctions to inform existing patent prosecution, and perform patent and non-patent literature research for new disclosures. This analysis includes weighing business objectives, public vs. non-public advantages (e.g., trade secret), and budgetary and program timelines to align strategy with company goals. Management responsibilities also include developing and maintaining a growing trademark portfolio. This includes conducting preliminary trademark searches and assessing relevant existing Marks to develop goods and services strategies that appropriately protect SEAKR trademarks. By coordinating with internal research and development leads, I strive to ensure SEAKR obtains robust patent and trademark protection in all aspects of high-altitude and satellite communications, radiation hardening and tolerance, ASIC/FPGA design, and digital signal processing.
